ORDO is a video culling organizer built for solo creators.

Built by creators for creators.

No more remembering, no more hoping a 30-minute dig through folders was worth it.

how it works

Describe the clip. Don't search for it.

ORDO analyzes, tags, and sorts your footage into the buckets you define. No scrubbing, no manual work.

Multi-Tag Search

Search "wide, gym, bench press" — not just one category. A clip can be tagged for everything it actually shows.

Custom, Reorderable Buckets

Define the categories that fit your archive. Reorder them to set priority for clips that could fit more than one.

Automatic Tagging

Drop in a session's footage. ORDO classifies every clip — framing, subject, and action — no manual labeling.

No Import, No Library

ORDO doesn't hold your footage. It tags files where they already live and places them in your buckets — nothing imported, nothing stored.

the problem

Your archive is growing faster than you can search it.

Weeks, months, years of footage — and finding one clip means scrubbing through folders, hoping the search pays off. Not a one-time hassle. A tax you pay on every edit.

step by step
Step 1

Define your buckets up front — the categories you personally shoot and need to find later (e.g., "gym," "car," "talking," "b-roll").

Step 2

Select the footage from a session and drop it into ORDO.

Step 3

ORDO organizes it automatically — tagging each clip's framing, subject, and action, then sorting it into the bucket that fits best.

Step 4

Search by tag whenever you need a clip — "wide, gym, bench press" — instead of remembering a filename or scrubbing a timeline.

who it's for

Built for one person, not a media team.

Not built for teams. Most footage-tagging tools are cloud-first, made for shared review. ORDO is a single-user tool for a single-user archive.

Media team tools
  • × Upload to the cloud before you can work
  • × Pay to store footage a second time
  • × Shared libraries, comments, permissions
  • × Built for review, not for solo speed
Ordo
  • Runs on footage where it already lives
  • No full-library upload, no storage fees
  • One person, one archive, zero setup
  • Built for the edit, not the meeting
local-first

Your footage stays exactly where it already lives.

On your hard drive or SSD — not imported into ORDO, not stored in ORDO.

No import, no library

ORDO doesn't hold onto your footage. It works directly on the files on your drive — tagging each clip and placing it into the bucket you've defined. Only the individual frames needed to classify a clip are sent out for analysis; nothing is stored server-side, and the footage itself never leaves your drive.

No storage fees

You're not paying to host your own footage a second time.

Tags travel with the file

Tags are written directly into each clip's own metadata — not just a folder location. Copy a clip to another drive, drag it into your NLE, hand it to a collaborator: the tag goes with it.

Findable outside ORDO, too

Tags are also written as Finder tags, so a clip you sorted in ORDO shows up in a plain macOS Spotlight search — no need to open the app just to confirm a tag stuck.

why i built this

Two years of footage. Hours a week just looking for a clip.

Built by a solo creator — I've been shooting and compiling footage for over two years, repurposing old clips into new content. I used to spend hours every week just searching for the right one. I wasted real time flipping through different hard drives and folders, hoping I'd remember where something was.

Now my workflow is streamlined, so I can spend that time creating instead. ORDO exists because I needed it first.
